At Pitambara Nursing College we firmly believe in training to become professional’s nurses so as to meet the great challenges of services in the field of Nursing. Education is the fundamental element for complete development of an individual and as a prime teaching institute; we endeavour to harness this inherent potential though meeting the growing needs of nursing education.

We focus on all round development of student with special emphasis on intellectual, cultural and spiritual growth preparing them to be effective change agents in dynamics of social evolvement.
Furthermore, the college believes in a system of nursing education that fits in with the changing education patterns of the country to meet the health needs of the society. We are committed to provide best nursing education for personal as well as professional upliftment of all nursing students.
AIMS
the aims of Undergraduate program are:
- To prepare a crop of well qualified nurses for leadership position to assume responsibilities in nursing and to do pioneer work of a creative nature for the development of human and scientific health care system.
- To provide broad based education for the predation of nursing personnel at advanced levels who can function in a wide variety of settings and contribute effectively towards professional upliftment.
- To explore the centre of excellence for higher studies in nursing and to give direction for serving contemporary and future needs of nursing development.
OBJECTIVES
On completion of the course, the students will be able to:
- Apply knowledge form physical, biological and behavioural science, medicine, surgery and nursing in providing comprehensive nursing care to individual, families and communities.
- Participate as a member of health care team in the preventive, curative and restorative health care delivery system of the Country.
- Practice within the frame work of code of ethics and professional conduct and acceptable standards of practice in legal boundaries.
- Demonstrate understanding of life style and other factors which affect the health of the individual and group.
- Demonstrate critical thinking in decision making, leadership and managerial skills, effective communication skills in the clinical and community settings to provide quality nursing care.
- Conduct need based research studies in various settings and utilize the research findings to improve the quality of care, advancement of self and profession.
